Can you bend a heatpipe?

akranjc71

Hi,

I am installing a new CPU cooler on my laptop, the only problem is that current cooler is attached toCPU, then GPU an then to a radiator.

Can I cut off the CPU part? If not, can I at least bend the heatpipe between CPU and GPU blocks so it has 180 degree U-turn?

This is my current cooler:

I will have an eGPU (RX 580) and I will probably underclock this onboard one (Radeon HD 6370m) so it won't steal power from CPU and it won't run hot. What if I would just disconnect the GPU block from heatpipe, would it run too hot? I would underclock it on minimum (400mhz), so it souldn't run very ot without heatpipe and a radiator, am I right?
