B450 Tomahawk Max ARGB question.

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hey everyone, I am planning to get the B450 Tomahawk max and Silverstone PF240 AIO with it. If I am not wrong the AIO is ARGB but the motherboard only has regular RGB headers. Does this mean If I get this AIO the lights of it won’t come on at all?

Well it doesn't have a 5v 3pin   argb header (the board) so sadly you wont be able to connect the rgb cable to the board. Though you can get an RGB controller.

Fun Fact: The Meshify c is the best case to ever exist.

B550m TuF plus.

Hyper x rgb 8 gig stick. (MJR or CJR  i still don't know lol).

1650 super.

Unfortunately your motherboard only supports JRGB whereas your AIO does not use that standard (it does use ARGB, but your motherboard doesn't).

Now the AIO does come with an RGB controller which you can connect via a data power cable from your PSU. So you can still have the RGB on. You just can't control it via the motherboard.

Another one of those things I hate about RGB right now: it's lack of a universal standard.

I should be writing papers...
