(Long Shot) Mobo ID please?

Go to solution Solved by Moonzy,

so LGA1155 in itx form factor, from Asrock and probably an OC-capable board from OC-capable CPU (though might not be z chipset)

with wifi built in

edit: not the z87 version because the red port is on the wrong order

I know it's an Asrock, and it supports an i5-3570k and it's ITX form factor.

Based on that, and the only pic I have, any ideas what it might be? I know, not much info to go on...

Thank you, that was my thought too, looking at a google image search, looks like a right feature-packed mob.

Thank you for your help

It must be the Z77E-ITX, as it's the only ITX S1155 board AsRock made with Wi-Fi.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Fedora 38 x86_64

Secondary: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Fedora 38 x86_64

Server: AMD Athlon PRO 3125GE, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 ECC, TrueNAS Core 13.0-U5.1

Home Laptop: Intel Core i5-L16G7, 8 GB 4267 MHz LPDDR4x, Windows 11 Home 22H2 x86_64

Work Laptop: Intel Core i7-10510U, NVIDIA Quadro P520, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x86_64

Here is the CPU list

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/z77e-itx/#CPU

What would you put in it, keep the existing i5-3570k, or move up (yes, I know the mobo is old, just looking at the best CPU for that board)

Eventually I want to try some games under Proton (which is Steam's compatibility layer for running windows games under *nix)

but currently, with a GTX 660 Ti in it, general computing watching 4k videos (as someone gave me a 28" 120hz 4k monitor)

not too familiar with this to give any concrete answer

general web browsing and computing should be fine on this machine

though i generally recommend selling the system and upgrading to something more modern if you'd like to do any demanding games, i dont see a point in buying a 3770k, unless the price is super low

Nothing demanding, mostly will be using this as a test bed.

@Moonzy

The 3570K isn't a bad CPU. If you really need the extra power, You'll want the 3770 (if cheap), 3770K or 1270 V2/1275 V2. No real point in any other CPU as an upgrade.

should be fine as is, especially with a 660ti

a 3770k is slightly better but again, not worth the upgrade unless it's super cheap
