External Drive Permissions

Hi, I use an external drive to store all of my music software. I need to transfer the software to my new desktop from my laptop and one of the folders need to have permissions. The thing is, there is no security tab on any folder in the external drive. Any help?

Where is såthe stuff you are moving located

The files aren't being moved the drive was moved physically to my new computer
