Do I need a new Install key if I upgrade from home to pro?

Jae Tee

Hey guys. Just bought a laptop. Naturally it came with Windows 10 home, but I want to upgrade it to windows 10 pro. If i use an installation media (usb), choose to keep my files, and the "I don't have a product key" option, will it give me the watermark since it should only work with home, or will it allow me to use pro with out the watermark while only using the original key?

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

You just need a new license; you can purchase this from a number of sources. You do not need to reinstall the OS. The license will unlock access to the additional features and install them automatically.
