Ryzen R5 3600 - (should I go for a higher core cpu?)

this should work, but going for a 3700x should help if the person is doing multithreaded workloads also add a cooler like a scythe ninja 5 (great cooler and doesnt run at high rpms)

Asus TUF Gaming B550M Plus WiFi (no rgb as requested)

you can also opt for the B550 A-Pro, iirc the TUF still has RGB

Samsung 970 Evo 1tb m.2 nvme or Crucial MX500 1th m.2 ssd (should I go nvme or sata?)

if the person needs faster speeds, NVME wont hurt, any prices on the SX8200pro, EX950, Rocket, P34A80?

Gpu - I can't find any gpu without rgb unless I go for quadro but it's too noisy - (Blower fans)

Does the person need Cuda? if not then maybe go for a XFX Thicc III 5700xt

Fractal Design ion+ 760w 80+ platinum full modular (Silent running)

rather overkill, the 660 watt version should be more than enough

I'm helping with build I've never done before, I mostly have done are gaming PCs this a first time I'm doing a (video editing/music editing/streaming) system.

The owner has requested no RGB to be in the system and as quiet it could be as it would be in a recording studio.

As this type of system is new to me I have a few questions on what parts would be suitable for the build.

System (Silence X)

Fractal Design Meshify C Mini - (blackout edition)

Ryzen R5 3600 - (should I go for a higher core cpu?)

Asus TUF Gaming B550M Plus WiFi (no rgb as requested)

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600mhz cl16 32gb (16gb dual sticks) - black

Samsung 970 Evo 1tb m.2 nvme or Crucial MX500 1th m.2 ssd (should I go nvme or sata?)

Seagate ironwolf 16tb hdd (requested by owner)

Gpu - I can't find any gpu without rgb unless I go for quadro but it's too noisy - (Blower fans)

Fractal Design ion+ 760w 80+ platinum full modular (Silent running)

Peripherals

Microsoft manbrain chicklet keyboard

Microsoft mouse

Silent Cerberus - Fractal Design Core500,Ryzen R7 3700x,Scythe Fuma 2,Gigabyte Aorus B550i Pro AX,Crucial Ballistix Elite 3200mhz cl16 16gb,Adata XPG SX8200 nvme 512gb m.2 ssd,Lexar NS100 1tb ssd,Red Dragon RX5700 8gb(bio flashed 5700xt),Corsair SF600 SFX 600w 80+ platinum F-Modular.

Hades - dO.Ob Look into my eyes and see the dark eternal abyss that is your soul and pay for your hidden sins.

Cerberus - the hell hound that guards the gates of hell. Once you enter you'll never escape.

Just another thought: Get a case without a glass side-panel. Then you don't have to worry about something having RGB or don't have to worry about looks at all.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I went with the fractal design meshify c mini not because of glass it was the air flow and size and the dust proofness

you may go for a rtx 2070s EVGA XC/2 ultra or FTW 3 and disable the RGB
