Battery charging faster on linux then windows

I got a laptop last month and I noticed that the battery took so long to reach 100% when I first booted the pc.

Then after some time I decided to install manjaro and I had just plugged in my laptop to the charger and I was working on installing linux when I noticed that my previously 50% battery was 100% in about an hour while just working on installing linux.

Another day I plugged my laptop into the charger and booted to windows and the battery was 50% and it estimated that it would take about 2 hours to fully charge.

What is the reason behind this? Is it that windows has so many things running in the background that It takes more power to run?

Maybe the power options are changed and there is no stupid onedrive uploading 24/7

Also, the battery charge times aren't always accurate. It may charge quicker than that.
