What GPU should I get

Kanna

Hello I'm saving for a new GPU I was planing on getting a 2070 but I think I'm waiting for 3000 series and getting 3060 or should I do anything else?, workloads : GTA V (modded), Minecraft (Shaders + Mods) , Unturned, Forza horizon 4, DAIN APP (need cuda cores for that)

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

Wait for Nvidias RTX 30xx. We are like 1-2 months away most likely. Keep in mind that if this launch is like any others from the past that the mid and lower tier GPU's will launch several months after the high end ones, this is pretty standard of Nvidia.

You can get a B550 board for less and invest the extra in a decent cooler which will enable you to run PBO and not fly away.

Do you need 32GB RAM?

Yea it should be fine for now. Waiting will be worth it.

As others have noted. Get a 16 gig. Which should be fine in most cases.

What is it priced at? It's only a 6 core that you're powering nothing to insane.

B450 tomahawk or the a pro max ( non m). Or the pro 4 or the pro vdh max or the pro 4. Should be fine.

As for b550. The tomahawk and the mortar and pro 4 and the aorus pro and the strix f should do the job.

As for x570. Tomahawk and the x570-p and the tuf are the only x570 boards that are worth it imo.

So a 8 core CPU won't really give me more than a 6 core?, I do use blender sometimes and multitask alot aka have alot of stuff open (once had like 3 games open at the same time while doing some paint.net (PC didn't blow up somehow)

ah, im not sure if b550 boards supports 2x m.2 in nvme speeds, but if you need a lot of connectivity bandwidth then x570 is a better choice

X570 > B550 if the prices are similar. X570 has "full" PCI 4.0 while B550 has just PCI 4.0 for the GPU and a NVME M.2.

Just for gaming a R5 3600 is enough and other AMD CPUs won't give you much more FPS.

I haven't seen it yet, but what are your monitor specs?

It matters a lot, since you're asking for a GPU.

A R5 3600 + RTX 2060 Super would be perfectly fine for that setup, but since the new GPUs might arrive soon, I'd wait.

I asked because a 2080 Ti struggles with 4k, too and you'd need at least a RTX 2070 Super for 1440p @ 144 Hz
