Wallpaper keeps changing

squaredamian

So the thing is that i have 2 users on the OS, the administrator one and the other "guest" one, and when i'm trying to change wallpaper on the guest one, the wallpaper changes into color after i delete the PNG file, which the system supposedly doesn't need anymore.

System is fresh install (4 days ago), it has activated key and in theory there's nothing getting in the way of working properly.

My only clue is that Wallpaper engine might be messing with TranscodedWallpaper file in appdata, but supposed fix (deleting the file and restart) didn't change much, and what's more, the wallpaper engine is not running on guest account.

I've no idea what to do about it, please help.

i don't think it does, in previous windows versions it was just loading somewhere and the original file was unnecessary, and i think it worked on W10 in the past as well

A png file doesn’t take more than some MB unless it’s really big

You always needed it. It was working before because it was cached (lower quality). You can put the PNg file under the c:\Users\public folder or in a system folder.
