ups How much watts do I need for UPS for my PC?

Motherboard: X570 AORUS MASTER

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H100i RGB PLATINUM 

RAM: AORUS RGB MEMORY 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHZ 

GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GAMING GEFORCE RTX 2070 OC EDITION 8 GDDR6 Memory

SSD: SAMSUNG V-NAND SSD 970 EVO PLUS NVMe M.2 ~ 500 GB

         SAMSUNG V-NAND SSD 860 EVO SATA 6GB/s ~ 1TB

HDD: WD Black 4TB                                                             

PSU: CORSAIR RM650

Case: COOLER MASTER H500

Put this on part picker and you will see the wattage. Then user a PSU 1.5X that wattage. Just choose a known brand. That happens because a PSU is loosing a little bit of it's capabilities over the years, so better be safe than sorry. Also they work better under their 80%

You will see about 400watts (I guess) so a 600w is all you will need

A UPS is not the same as a PSU.

Also, they don't "lose capabilities" the only thing that can possibly happen is battery capacity depletion, but that has nothing to do with the wattage output from the unit, that only affects the runtime.

Honestly a 450W UPS would do fine, even if the power goes out you'll have a good 20min at least. Cyperpower makes a good UPS, I have a 900W and 450W unit from them.

what about the brand APC? 

and also do you think an APC 650VA 325 Watts UPS is enough bcuz there's one of this APC  that no one uses in my house and its around 4 years old.

I think you mistaken it for PSU man but I'm actually asking for UPS not PSU both of them are different. 

UPS is the power backup and PSU is the main source of power that power everything inside the pc

Yeah APC is good, and 325W is enough, I mean the MAX draw of your system is only around 300-350W and that is never sustained for long periods. You would have enough time to shut the system off if the power went out (audible warning).

But will it last until 10 mins atleast? 

Bcuz the dangerous part is when I have to update the bios and stuff like that

At idle or load?

Most UPSes only last a few minutes at full load, you would need a really large one if you want to go for hours and that would cost several thousand dollars.

 

I would recommend a Cyberpower PFC LCD unit, those are pure sinewave.

I have a 1500PFCLCD.

Yes it probably would, these are highly unlikely scenarios to begin with I wouldn't worry that much.

That board has dual bios and q-flash, I think you're quite safe even without a ups

But the thing is Idk how to use dual bios and q-flash.I guess I have to watch Linus' video if he makes one idk whether he already makes a video about it or not or I just have to watch it from other random tech youtubers on how to do it

If your PC uses like 500W at load and you want it to last an hour then you need at least 500Wh of energy storage, which is like five 12V 9Ah batteries, not including all the conversion losses..

Some rackmount UPSes have four, my Cyberpower UPS only has two.

It says at half load (1100W is half of 2200) it can last 15 mins, so with your ~500W PC it could do half an hour.

Nah I don't think I'm gonna buy that UPS because it's too costly for me.Back at my place it'll cost RM2000+ but thanks for the recommendation anyway
