How do you protect your own devices?

7412

Do you use a case? What kind of case?

Do you feel the need for a screen protector?

Do you skin your laptop, do you transport it in a protective sleeve?

I put my laptop under the cat, it acts as a shield whenever I drop my phone on top of it.

As for the phone, I have a concrete mold for it.

Stupidity aside, protection isn't needed when you're just careful with your devices and don't use them as a battering ram to storm Hadrian's wall.

I use otterbox cases on my phone (the cases break but never the phone) and a stm dux or logitech case for my ipad. I throw my laptop in a laptop bag when not in use, but never in a case or skin.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

A case and screen protector is a must if you want to maintain the pristine body.

A tempered glass recommended, it saves me a lot from a frontal drops.

A skin is not recommended as it doesn't offer shock resistance.

Get a double layered case with rubber on the inside and plastic on the outside.

My laptop never leaves my house so it needs no protection.

My iPad is bare because it never leaves my house either. Being so thin makes it hard and uncomfortable to hold in my hands. They just don't make a case thick enough for it for me.😬

My state of the art, early 2000's style flip phone doesn't need a case. 🤣

I took the case and screen protector off my phone about a year ago. Main reason was I simply prefer the sleek feel of a device without a case on it. I've always had slim design cases, but they still add bulk. I gave it a try without a case for a few days and just never went back.

The back glass is slightly marked up where it rests when set down (not scratched, just a slight polishing of the frosted/matte glass), but you'd hardly notice it unless pointed out. Cosmetically perfect otherwise.

I do throw it back in a case when doing something higher risk for a drop, like using it in the garage to reference service manuals or something.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

My phone has a cheap "leather" case and already came with a screen protector from the factory.

My laptop, on the other hand, is naked.

Same...Except I didn't know or expect it, so I freaked out when my brand new smartphone got "scratched", and it took me almost a week to figure it out and peel the damn thing off.
