Monitor suggestions for gaming

ScandalSavage

Hello everyone! Looking for a monitor with these features. I don't know if it exists or not, but if you have another suggestion without all these features let me know and I'll definitely still look into it!

I'm also looking to get 2 of these monitors (maybe a 3rd now or later, depending on the price.)

Additionally I'm looking into getting the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER BLACK GAMING. Or something similar as I'm likely going to wait for September to see the new hardware releasing, I'm just trying to get an idea on peripherals and monitors.

  • 144hz
  • IPS
  • G sync compatible
  • 24-27"
  • $300-$400

why? you'll get the frame of the monitor in the middle if you want to play on both at the same time. if you don't, the second monitor doesn't need to be 144 ips gsync.

you can get a ultrawide if you want a wider monitor, as that works better than 2 monitors

Thanks for the feedback! So I plan on only using one for gaming and the other so I can have guides/monitor things while streaming.

Any suggestions? If this is a good route to take, I can bump up my budget for the expensive one.

Preferably 2 monitors with similar aesthetics if that is possible.

Thank you for all the suggestions! Does it matter if I have a Nvidia GPU for the freesync vs gsync?

Also, is there any downsides to having 2 monitors with different refresh rates?

Very new to this, so I really appreciate all the help!

Okay! That's great, I'll look into these monitors. I'll look up a guide how to set it up properly too. Do you have suggestions on how to correctly set up?

it's usually self explanatory. enable 144hz and freesyc in the monitor's settings and then from the nvidia control panel enable gsync for that monitor and leave the other as it is. it should work. otherwise, come back on the forum for troubleshooting

See how much these two go for.

You can also see if this table tool helps at all. Just be warned that the price slider is little broken now as rtings only checks the price from one source and prices are inflated right now.
