Cheapness

Ok so if you remember the 69 dollar pc I'm trying to make something like that so a used optiplex 7010 i5 and a gt 1030 already have a ssd from a family member and a monitor as well so just the pc anything to maximize the experience or do anything different

You will struggle with a GT 1030. Especially playing Warzone

Side note - I am also doing an "Upgrade" to a Optiplex 7010 MT atm, but I am upgrading the CPU to an i7 3770, and with GTX 1050TI, plus an SSD. That should be the things you should consider, but definitely not going to be $69 like you thought going to be

You should be able to get a cheaper build. i3 4160's were only $68 when I was looking, and IIRC they have better IPC than the older i5.

Then throw in a 1050Ti that doesn't use an extra power cable, and you're pretty much good to go. Though I'd source RAM and an SSD as well.

Before you do anything. Are you having Optiplex 7010 MT / SFF or USFF ?

They will have different impact on what you can get.

Take a look at what's out there. There are different Optiplex's and it'll take a bit of searching to find the best deals.

You can get one with the 4590 for $92, they take offers and give free shipping. Throw in a lower offer, you might get it for about the same as the 3rd gen ones.

The main problem is the GPU. the i5 CPU should be OK for gaming.

If you have 7010 MT (mini Tower), then you more range of GPU to choose and add . But you must work with the following limitation:

1. GPU length cannot be 230mm, as it will block SATA cable etc.

2. You will be working with very small Dell PSU (275W only). You will need to check your GPU power draw. Eg. like I got a GTX 1050Ti 4gb OC which will not need extra power cable, but it will draw 75W from the 16x PCIe slot. The current 275W is just borderline enough, but I will not risk it, so will need to consider upgrade PSU to at least 400W.

If you get the GTX 1050ti LP (Low profile), then the draw of power will be alot less and you be fine with current PSU.

If the 7010 is a SFF (Small Form Factor) - which is a small case

- You are stuck with Low Profile cards only. GTX 1050 TI LP is only one I will suggest. I dont know any other Low Profile card that will have sufficient enough grunt to give reasonable experience for gaming ....

If it is USFF (Ultra Small Form Format)....... Then good luck. You cant do anything on it...

Ok it is the sff one is the one I was looking at at 55 plus 25 shipping and there is one prob with the 150 ti lp money so that's why I was thinking the 1030 lp

Well.. according to Youtube. There are ppl said it's playable with GT 1030....

But not sure what your expectation is. It may be OK for others, you might not like it. I live in Australia so pricing is a lot expensive than US (ebay, GTX 1050 TI LP 4gb is AUD$200 compare to GT 1030 2gb for $100).

But I rather bit the bullet and get 1050ti LP 4gb so I dont risk of getting GT 1030 and hating it after that.

Ok I'm seeing on average the 750 ti lowprofile is about 10 frames better than the 1030 is that safer

I would prefer 1650 as well.. but they cost more than 1050ti lp........

But you are right. I would have prefer 1650 over 1050ti. But if budget constrain, I will bit the bullet for 1050ti lp

I just wanted to second your GPU suggestion. I used the Gigabyte Low Profile GTX1050Ti for about a year which requires no extra power and it worked a treat. 1080p at medium settings stayed at around 100fps for most titles, but I wanted to mention that if you have poor cooling the stock heatsink can permanently bow from the heat. The stock fan is frankly a potato compared to the typical fans a GPU should have.
