New PC specs

Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Triple A games and esports games i.e. Leagues of legends, last jedi, warzone

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

My existing PC is a Corsair one with the below specs:

CPU: I7-7700K

GPU: GTX 1080 (Custom CORSAIR 1 Cooler I belive)

MOBO: Z270I CORSAIR ONE (MS-7A66)

RAM: Corsair Vengence 16GB 2X8

PSU: Corsair SF500

SSD: 500GB M.2 SSD

HDD: 2TB HDD

I want to upgrade as I'm looking at upgrading my monitor to 1440p 1ms 144hz so would like to be hitting 100+ fps on most if not all games. I will be selling the above PC as its the Corsair one it is near impossible to upgrade or keep parts from so would better value to sell it as a complete setup

Any help would be much appreciated

As previously mentioned, new GPUs are coming out later this year (Ampere from Nvidia, RDNA2 from AMD) and CPUs as well (Zen 3/Ryzen 4000), so considering you've currently got a perfectly adequate gaming PC, I think it'd be much smarter, to say the least, to wait.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC
