Cheapest laptop to play WOW

Hello I'm in the market for a laptop that I can run world of Warcraft smoothly while spending as little as possible. My hard cap is $1,000 but I am hoping to spend less. Portability isn't that big of a concern. I like the look of a Thinkpad.Would you guys have any suggestions for a new laptop?

My suggestion would be to ONLY get a laptop for WoW if portability has a MUCH higher consideration than gaming... otherwise spending the same money on a desktop will yield superior performance.
