Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 specs at 3840x1600?

Brodo_Swwaggins

Hi guys,

What PC specs would be required to run the new microsoft flight simulator 2020 at 3840x1600?

I am thinking:

AMD 3800x

32gb ram, at 3200+ mhz

RTX 2080 super

NVME SSD

b550 motherboard of some sort

Would love to hear your take on it:)

if you are planning to build, would recommend waiting for nvidia ampere and zen 3.

but to give you an opinion, just get the 3700x and OC it, not worth paying the extra

RTX 2080 is rated as “ideal” by Microsoft, sooo I think it’s going to be smooth enough. I’ve seen OC’ed 1080 ti’s Run BF V at 3840 x 1600, so a 2080 should be fine I guess?

Looking at it I would say my specs.

Flight Sims have always been harder to run than games.

I have X-Plane 11 on my 3840 X 1600 setup and I am lucky to get 60fps in the air and at an airport like Heathrow about 30fps on the ground.

MSFS X was about the same.

I hope this new one does better but non ever have.
