You're going to be hard pressed to find any reasonably priced Windows Server options for dedicated machines. The cheapest I could find was ~£85 from 1&1, but I cannot personally vouch for their services.

You might be best off looking at Azure AD if you're looking to use Active Directory, or AWS EC2 instances.

Actually found one! £48.95 and the windows OS is only £9.99 :o within my £60 budget.

Hello All,

I am looking for a cheap dedicated server. My requirements are

  • 4 cores (8 threads would be nice)
  • 16GB of memory
  • storage not a issue
  • OS Windows server 2016/2019
  • UK based
  • Max budget of £60-75 (cannot go over that)

Thank you

I would suggest a Rise-1 from OVH. There are also budget-oriented options available in France under SoYouStart, though I am unsure if versions above 2012 R2 are available.

Unfortunately the Windows OS price from Rise-1 is £120 per month is too much and SoYouStart is also expensive. :(

Thanks for the help.

do you need a dedicated server? A VPS from the same compnay seems to be much cheaper for a simmilar computing power, and vps have many advantages aswell like being able to easily move up if you need more computing power later on aswell.

I already have a VPS with them and they are really VERY slow and it crashes a lot. I have spoken to support and they said that the servers which they use are old HP G7 and need replacing. I need a dedicated server so I can have full performance of a machine.

Hve you look t other providers like amazon nd google?

That seems to be a issue that hosting company, and a vps can preform very close to metal. I don't see a reason to get a deticated server, I think you just need a better vps.

for the workload the VPS does not cut it running multiple game servers.. with only 8gb of memory...

you can get a vps with much more memory.

Also it might be better to get multiple smaller vps's. Makes management easier, and you can only fire up what you need.
