Temps on i7 10700k

Greetings,

The i7 10700k is hot, I wonder what would be the temps paired with a corsair H100i RGB PRO XT (https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.co/MCO-569993714-refrigeracin-liquida-corsais-h100i-pro-xt-rgb-_JM?quantity=1&variation=59674852851), I can´t find any info about this, would those temps be acceptable?

Notes:

-the i7 10700K would be overclock at least at 4.9 Ghz all core.

-The case is a Aerocool Cylon https://aerocool.io/product/cylon/.

What cooler are you using now, and what temps are you getting, exactly?

I can´t find any info about the temps with this corsair AIO.

So your AIO's dead?

 

If you're looking to also overclock the 10700K, I'd suggest the NH-D15 chromax.black and the Dark Rock Pro 4, or also the NH-U12A and NH-U14S which are a little less bulky, if you don't mind the colour scheme. The NH-U12S chromax.black is also an option.

For AIOs I'd probably only look at 280mm or 360mm, as only those are actually better performers compared to high-end air coolers.

Right, well in that case an H100i should still cool a 10700K adequately.

The Strix cooler is more expensive probably simply because of the ROG logo, it's most likely not worth the premium.

I have some more questions:

 

1-Would the H100i pro XT  (which is like the new 2020 version of the corsair h100i) work with the new 1200 socket? The manual won´t even show anything about it.

 

2- The corsair h150i pro xt (360mm) is cheaper (159 USD) in the US than the h100i pro xt (240mm) is in my country. Is the difference any noticiable? I really can´t find any info on thermals.

3-If anything goes wrong is gaming at 90C° everyday allright?

yes, for gaming is great @ 5 Ghz and 5.1 Ghz hitting max around 68 C° on the heaviest games, on light games like pubg hitting aroung 60C°.

For synthetics I'm at 5 Ghz getting max 93C° on heavy benchmarks like Prime 95 (average is like 88C°).

 

This is with a horrible cheap bad case which I'll change soon, so expect around 4 o 5 C° less with a good case.

 

I reccommend getting the 360mm though so you can overclock higher, and the price is like almost the same.
