ATX case with USB-C 3.2 gen2 support aka 20Gbit.

honna1612

Is there a case which has a frontpanel type-C connector with the full 20gbit speed that usb 3.2 gen2 supports?
I see most cases listed as usb 3.1 which is only 10gbit.

Thanks

Hate to be that guy, but why can't you simply use the rear?

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 = USB 3.1 Gen 2 = 10Gbit/s

They have renamed USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 to USB 3.2 Gen 1/2.

For 20Gb/s you need USB 3.2 Gen 2 x 2, which as far as I know is not featured on cases or motherboards for that matter.

  • 1 year later...

MSI cases now claim to support USB type-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 on their new 2021 cases. Other than those, I have not found any cases as of yet that support the 3.2 gen 2x2 connector.
