Make notify me of replies default to previous

Any chance the "Notify me of replies" button can be changed so it defaults to what you selected previously? As one of the people who follows almost every post that I comment on, it would be nice to have it be auto-selected.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

You can select which you auto-follow from notification settings. I don't know if its possible to get it to remember things like that.
