I know the pro carbon is decent. I'm not quite sure about the gaming edge though.

What cpu and what's your budget? Consider other b550 boards or even b450 boards.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

The B550 Gaming Edge WIFI is solid, just like the B550 Tomahawk, B550 Aorus Pro, Strix B550-F.

The B550 Gaming Carbon is kind of pointless imo, considering you can get an X570 Tomahawk at that price point.

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

I still haven't seen any extensive reviews of these, which seems kind of odd. Anyone know of any good review vids I missed? It's an entirely different chipset, so I know there's really no correlation, but MSI's Gaming Edge and Pro Carbon X570 boards were so monumentally bad, I'm really hesitant to recommend any of their B550 boards yet.

Pretty standard build I am going for. I initially wanted to purchase MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon but I can't find it at the moment in my country. So I waited for the release of the B550 boards recently, and the price for MSI B550 Gaming Edge and Gaming Pro Carbon are pretty much higher but I do not mind spending a little more for future proofing. Can't really find much reviews on these 2 boards on the internet.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3200

Memory: Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 250 GB

Memory: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 AMP 6GB

Case: NZXT H510

Pretty expensive for a gaming build. How much is a p1?

5700/5700xt should be the same price and perform better.

Choked off airflow, swap it for a p300 from Phanteks.

What’s the price on a B550 tomahawk?

Anyway I have so far spent around $720 USD for the above parts (btw I am from Singapore). So I am missing a motherboard and PSU. I am looking at max $1200 USD

If you need WiFi and extra Gen4 PCIe Lanes get the X570 Tomahwek WiFi.

If you need WiFi and no extra Gen4 lanes get the Gaming Edge WiFi.

If you don’t need WiFi or the extra Gen4 lanes get the B550 Tomahawk.

If you don't need WIFI then I'd go for the B550 Tomahawk. Otherwise, considering it's such a small difference between the B550 Gaming Edge and X570 Tomahawk, I'd probably get the X570 Tomahawk, mostly for the extra IO but technically also even stronger VRM.
