Specs for 3840x1600?

Brodo_Swwaggins

Hi all,

What specs do I need to be able run a 3840x1600 LG monitor with most games running at min. 60 FPS at High? I was thinking Ryzen 3700x and 2070 super or 2080 super. Need the 3700x for CPU heavy games (CMANO)

Thanks a lot:)

I’m running LG’s 3440x1440 with a 3800x and a 2070 super getting above 60fps in most games. Pretty much the exact setup you’re going for. Enabling gsync on lg’s monitors works great, I just do that to smooth out the occasional dips.

only that his LG is 25% more Pixels, so pretty much 25% less FPS. That gets you from 60 to 45.

i'd say 2080S is the minimum you should aim for.

Well its only 20% more and I play plenty of games at 3840x2160 with my 2070 super and get 60fps. If OP is trying to play most games he should be fine. It makes no sense to spend an extra $200 on a GPU right now when the 2070 super will be plenty.

I have one and use a 5ghz Intel CPU and a RTX 2080 ti.

That setup has most games in the 80s and 90s but there are some like RDR 2 in the 70s.

My LG 38" 3840 X 1600 is 75hz in most games but is 60hz in HDR games. The monitor does a great 3440 X 1440 and I use that for Ray trace games.

Here are AC:O and SOTTR  at 3440 X 1440 and 3840 X 1600. They are on the highest presets for convenance. I did not play them that way.
