How budget are we talking? What are the rest of the specs?

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

About 600 to 700 dollars. Gtx 1650 super, ryzen 5 2600, still deciding on. The motherboard

I'd reckon on a 500W, to get a bit of headroom for upgrades.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

The system won't consume more then 250w at worst.

The cx450 would be the best option.

The MWE bronze V2 would also be a decent choice and the pure power 400 would also be good.

That's the CV, not the CX, and regardless I wouldn't put much in the way of trust in reviews on Amazon.

You'll want to check reviews from people who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to PSUs.

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hF8hHB

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($139.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($124.99 @ Best Buy)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory  ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Team MP34 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($66.98 @ Amazon)
Video Card: XFX Radeon RX 580 8 GB GTS XXX ED Video Card  ($169.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case  ($68.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 400 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply  ($69.04 @ Amazon)
Total: $704.96
^ or ideally wait for the 3300X to get restocked.

The CV450 will work with a 3600/2600/1600AF and a 1650S, though I wouldn't put in anything more than that. I wouldn't pair it with an RX 580 for example.

My picks would be the Pure Power Gold 400W/500W and the CX450/550, it's just too bad that you can barely find anything in stock at the moment.

The Cx 450 had bad reviews on Amazon

Customer reviews means nothing.

Also this is the cv450 not the cx.

thanks

As long as you stick with CPU max 90w and GPU max 150w that PSU is fine, and just try not to have some fancy water loops or 6-7 fans in PC case :) You will be OK
