Question about my teacher's system memory?

I'm looking at the memory stick in my teacher's mining/gaming system 

 

G.skill Trident Z RGB 3200mhz cl15,16,16,34 16gb (1st gen) 

 

How come is the cas latency on first gen trident z is faster then the present trident z's? 

Why don't G.skill keep making those cl 15s?

A lot of stuff is based on the production date. So the chips that have the lower CL might be from a different production date of the chips.

Because these are different IC's that are being used. Some use b die. Some mjr/ ajr / just lower binned hynix in general.

They do? Heck they make ones with cl14. 

It's just they have lower binned stuff as well.

Really? Hmmm I never seen cl 14 chips in Singapore or on any online stores...

Yes good luck finding them. And for a reasonable price. These are top binned and are pretty expensive sadly.

Ah, the advantages of being a billionaire. One word and you could eve have a super computer to play csgo on an 8k monitor like Mr Linus  testing that 8k monitor from LG.

An average user wouldn’t notice any difference. It’s when you get down to manual overclocking and timings that you notice it. For example, a 3200mhz CL16 kit might not be able to do 3466mhz CL16, but a cl14 could probably push 3600mhz cl14 at something like 1.45v.

dO.Ob so not much of an advantage to a non overclocker then.
