how to wipe hard drive?

how do i reinstall the os without loosing the licence?

Attach it to your MS account (or the MS account the PC is using), in the Activation page in Windows... before you wipe it, of course.

When you reinstall Windows, choose 'I don't have a key' & once you log in w/ the same MS account, it should reactivate.

what is the license from?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Hi, hard drive wiping is not an easy task and after reading your query I think BitRaser File Eraser can wipe completely drive permanently. Because simply deleted or format solution does not wipe the data completely. It can be recovered by data recovery programs.
So this free tool packs world-class data wiping technology to give you a failsafe assurance of data safety. It uses specialized erasure standards ensuring that data once wiped cannot be retrieved using any method or tool. It is a very powerful file wiping tool; one that you can actually use to secure your data. Also generates a certificate of erasure to offer you total peace of mind. Thanks
