240hz Monitor Problem

I have an Acer XF240Q monitor and it is not able to reach 240hz. I know how to overclock a monitor and I also know that the issue is not the issue. It is able to reach 200hz but when I try to get it to 240hz all screens go black and pc is not responsive. Anyone know how I could solve this issue?

What graphics card...?

240Hz could be resolution dependant... do you know that it 'definitely' displays 240Hz at max. native resolution?

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

I can only find that monitor listed as 144Hz, o/c to 165Hz...

How many monitors are hooked up to the graphics card...?

It'll be the monitors that are rated at 240Hz... what make & model are they all?
