Low RAM speed, help understanding

Hello everyone, I need a bit help on understanding if my RAM Speed is bottlenecking my PC.

Specs are:

AMD FX-6200 (3.8 - 4.1)GHz

MSI 970a Krait Edition Mobo

8GB RAM(4+2+2@667MHz)

GTX 1050Ti

500W PSU

Will upgrading to 1600MHz or 1866MHz make a difference?

As of right now, PC freezes and sometimes crashes.

Well, the 4+2+2 configuration is probably the main deal giving you the issues.

Really not worth putting money into this platform any more in my opinion.

2x 4GB Mushkin RedLine 1866 CL9 is what I really enjoyed playing with. 9-10-9-27-36 2T @ 1.65v. I remember that much at least.

Well that doesn't really have to do with ram speeds.

Clear the cmos. Ddu the drivers.

4 matching sticks or 2 larger cap ones for best result, maybe better to save up for more performance? unless you are happy with current setup! :)
