HELP Extremely Long boot times after installing new GPU

Dan280599

I recently upgraded from a 970 to a 5600 xt red dragon and after doing so I am facing boot times of almost 2 minutes compared to the 10 - 15 seconds I had before. I have removed all the old nvidia drivers, installed the new amd drivers, the card is flashed to the latest bios and so it my motherboard. Before i installed the gpu I could boot up in 15 seconds but now it takes ages and stays on the post screen for ages before finally loading into windows. I have tried with both ultra fast boot and launch CSM on and off but still there is not difference. Anyone know what's going on?

you mention csm, did your try setting gpu to boot uefi in csm?

I can't see an options under csm related to the gpu. Also when ultra fast boot is enabled it removes the CSM tab completely so i asssume it sets everything to the fastest possible boot option autmatically. Still huge loading times regardless of what settings are on or off.
