Mouse software in FPS??

Hi guys. I’m new to the pc gaming world but wow I have noticed how many of you guys laser on Warzone. Is it just me being bad or are so many people actually using software to enhance there gaming ability??

It's possible that some people are cheating, but if you are new, then you are probably just getting pwned. 

 

A lot of people have been playing PC FPS games for a long time and have a lot of experience. Practice makes perfect.

CS:GO (free to play) has a training room where you can practice your flick shots.

Ye. I am very new. Mainly just playing Warzone. I can’t seem to get the mouse feel right. How do people play with a low dpi but manage to turn on a dime?

First thing, Turn off enchance pointer precision in windows mouse settings:

 

I usually play on medium sensitivity, but i have programmed a "sniper button" on the mouse, that drops the dpi to the floor, while i am holding that button, that helps with snipers.

Most cheap gaming mouses have the same button.

 

But on normal gameplay it is never needed, most people play with medium to high dpi, and just very precisily control their arm. It is a skill like any other, takes time to learn.

Make sure you have mouse acceleration turned off.

 

In the Windows Mouse properties menu it's called "enhanced pointer precision".

Low DPI isn't necessarily better for everyone. You have to figure out what works for you. But generally it works for them because they have a good quality mouse and mouse pad with lots of space for making fast broad motions.

It's relic from era where mice had low dpi and large resolution to cover. So constant movement of the mouse would get increased speed to reach other side of the screen faster. With modern mice, and even touchpads, it's not required for fast working.

 

The base of learning aiming with mouse is to get comfortable with your style. Be it finger or palm grip, and be it low dpi on large movements or med-high dpi and small movements. For more precision (snipers) the low dpi is usually way to go.

 

Then it's just about learning tracking and training your hand-eye coordination. As in knowing what movement is needed to fast move crosshair over the target. I watch some Overwatch coaching videos and tracking issues is quite common for those new to handling mouse.
