Need Headphones/Headset recommendation

Sushibagel

Looking for a recommendation for a set of headphones or a headset. I'm currently using a Samson Go Mic which isn't top tier but it's gotten the job done so I don't feel that I need to go with a headset but I'm not apposed to it.

My budget is $150 US and will be used mostly for gaming, some Netflix, Twitch.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Thanks for the suggestion. What would you say are the highlights of these over others of a similar price point.

Is closed back the best choice in your opinion for my use case? I see a lot of talk about open/closed back and I'm just not sure what the best direction is I'm not very versed in audio stuff

Yeah yeah. Open back is good but these are really good for being closed back. The soundstage is still there. But not as much as the DT 990s.

Also I recommended the 80ohm version because those don't really require an amp. An amp basically amplifies the signal which makes the audio come out louder.

The DT 990 pro are only available in 250ohm. Which I think require an amp.

But why I recommended the 770's is because they got a fun sound especially for like EDM and pop and hiphop music. They work really good for gaming since the imaging is also pretty good.

TL;DR

DT 770 80ohm are more immersive and fun sounding for gaming and movies than most flat headphones at the same price.

Edit: When I mean fun sounding I meant that the bass is a bit boosted and the treble.

Thanks for the information. I'll try them out.
