Budget rig upgrades

Budget (including currency):  300-400 GBP

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: photoshop for work and games including "runescape" and "total war" games.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):  Currently I am running on:

Motherboard - Aorus Z390 I Pro wifi mini ITX

CPU -  Intel I7 8700

Memory - corsair vengeance pro 32gb (2x16gb) ddr4 3200MHz

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 4TB 3.5inch (5400rpm)

Graphics - XFX Radeon rx570 extreme edition (8gb)

Power supply - Seasonic focus+ Gold 750w

 

Not entirely sure what i should be looking to upgrade next, any suggestions would be great,

What CPU are you using? Also, do you not have an SSD?

If you dont have an SSD, then thats the single biggest change you can make to that system. Modern PC's with hard drives feel like 10 year old clunkers.

 

You dont mention what CPU you have. Everything else looks pretty nice to me. GPU upgrade might be next in line as thats probably the weakest part otherwise?

Then that's definitely what I'd get. I can't even imagine how Windows 10 runs on a 5400RPM drive lol.

Some models I'd recommend are the Sabrent Rocket, Silicon Power P34A80, Samsung 970 Evo, WD SN750, HP EX950 and ADATA SX8200 Pro. You should be able to get a 1TB drive for around 130 quid.

 

Other than that, your system looks fine to me. If you're looking to upgrade the graphics card too, I'd suggest waiting until a bit later this year for Nvidia's Ampere and AMD's RDNA2 GPUs to come out.
