Will this work ?

Alright so I’m building my first pc and bought a b450m s2h motherboard and have a Ryzen 5 3600 to go with it. But I looked on gigabytes website and they say it needs a bios update to support the 3000 series chips. Will I be able to make the bios update with the chip or do I have to take it to a retailer to update it for me?
Any help is welcomed thanks.

Most of them ship with the new bios.

And some have a sticker that says ryzen 3000 ready

If it didn't ship with the new bios then just ask the vendor / computer store to update it for you.

MSI's MAX boards ship with zen 2 support out of the box.
