Okay...where to start.

On the topic of monitors, I'd wait a year or two and let the market saturate first, there aren't really many out there at the moment yet. As for the keyboard and mouse, you really need to give us a budget so we can recommend you something within your price range.

Running 4K + gaming, you'd need to spend at least $3000 to get comfortable frame rates on most games.

Haha, at the very least...

If you're on any kind of budget, you're out of luck for 4k.

You can go with 1440p, but again, it depends on your budget. It's not exactly cheap either. I wouldn't run a 1440p panel with anything less than a 780Ti or equivalent.

Agreed. You'll be looking at at least dual 780 Ti's or Dual GTX 880's when they come out, which is going to cost around £1100 on it's own.

Please use punctuation! So painful to read! And as @Tea1337 said, you need to be prepared to spend many thousand to game at 4K. 1440p/1600p is the sweet spot right now. High enough resolution to lower Anti-Aliasing a bit, low enough to not have framerates slow to a slideshow.

I don't think if he needs that powerful of a card for 1440p. I can run games comfortably at medium to high settings with my 3GB GTX 660 Ti, granted, with AA and AF down low.

4k is four time the resolution of 1080p so your computer has to compute four times the pixels so unless you plan on getting two 290X or 780ti then 1080p is what your playing at.

The whole point of getting a 1440p monitor is for it to look good so if you get one and turn down the setting you completely just wasted your money.

Exactly what @AdamIsaacLang said. I don't play games at anything lower than the highest setting. I don't see the point.

Do you need help choosing keyboards or you don't want a keyboard? How else are you going to play then?

Currently 4k is not worth it at all. Until non-TN 4k monitors with 28" or less in size, 60hz or higher, low ms and input lag, with a good color reproduction hit the shelves for less than $800, or less than a $1000 if it has G-sync, then it's not worth it. We would probably need at least 2 years for this to be realistic.

I saw the phrase "I'm running on a budget" and then I wondered "How are you going to get a 4K monitor and make it playable on that when you make it sound like there's a budget." Also periods can help make it more readable :P

I think a game @1440p with AF and AA off looks better than the same game @1080p with AA and AF turned on.

Oh it does look good. You guys misread what I said as saying I turn everything down low. I don't, in fact, some fairly recent games I can jack up pretty high. The fact is the higher the resolution, the less you need Anti-Aliasing. AA gets rid of the "jaggies" on angles textures, and at a higher resolution, they are less noticeable. Turning up AA in BF4 @ 1440p actually makes distant objects look worse in the game for me, and some far away "posts," such as light poles, or the base of the small sniper towers are almost invisible.

That's just my preference, though. I'd rather have a higher resolution and slightly (slightly!) lower settings than spending $700+ on a GPU to achieve both.

I wouldn't recommend anything today for 4k gaming. But if your gonna do it I wouldn't do it with anything less than the rig I picked out.
