Userbench are indeed a fraudulent website.

As for which laptop to get, the G751 is world's better in terms of quality, cooling and performance. The 970M matches a 1050 To and 1650 MQ. The 1050 is roughly equal to the 965M from 2015.

Also, the extra cooling of the G751 means the laptop will run much quieter and potentially with higher boost clocks.

Hello,

So I'd like your opinion which of these two laptop is better, i know that the newer version might be better but I searched that the gtx 970m is better than the 1050

but then i'll use the pc for schoolwork, Coding and mostly games such as Overwatch, GTA V and etc

The 970m is better in almost every task other than LoL with the gtx 1050 having 10 more fps.
Here is the example: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970M-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Mobile/m17319vsm211022

that website is complete bullsh*t

look for benchmark results like 3dmark

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

As long as it has been treated well, it's by far the best option. For context, when it came out, the G751 was double what the Pavilion was.

I see, thank you, one more thing, I just found this at the market LENOVO LEGION Y520 :

Windows10  , 15,6"

RAM + STORAGE: 8 Go de RAM DDR4, 1Tb HDD + SSD (to be added)

CPU: Intel core_i5 (i5-7300HQ) Ghz

GPU: Nvidia GTX1050 2Gb+ Intel Graphics 630

im guessing your verdict would be the same? ROG or Legion Y520?

Assuming the G751 is in good condition and hasn't been abused, yes. The i5 is much slower and the 1050 is a good 25-30% slower.

No problem. Are you strictly buying used or is new an option? The Lenovo Legion 5 and Acer Nitro 5 are both affordable and the Ryzen 5 4600H is better than basically any laptop i7 on the market save for 1 or two models. And the 1650 is also faster than the 970M.

Well I only have 400€ for now and I really need a gaming laptop, So far I've only seen used gaming laptops,

Okay so I've got some news, the ROG's Battery isn't working at all and the pad isn't working proper from what I understood, but he's giving a gaming mouse, also rog.

If you were in my position, what would you take? The Y520 or The ROG still?

So I found out that the Legion Y520 is Legion Y520 15IKBN

So I5-7300HQ and 1050Ti so 4Gb

The G751 has very clearly been abused - skip that.

The Y520 config is average. Again, saving another 200 and getting an Acer Nitro 5 is by far the best option as you will have full warranty.

An i7 6300 doesn't exist and the Predator 15 from 2015 is mediocre. Avoid
