How do I make something like this? This guy is able to make it with ur choice of switches as well. If you guys could help tell me what materials I would need so that I could make it so that it works with any cherry mc switch I want it be very appreciated.

Wire the two legs of a switch to the two pins of your power button connector. Plug in and away you go. Its as easy as that. 

You'll need: 

Switch

Wires with the power button connector on them - Dupont female IIRC

case for the switch

Keycap.

All the power button on your case does is connect the power button pin to ground by touching two pieces of metal together inside the switch itself. That's why you can turn your computer on with a screw driver connecting the two pins together. Literally any momentary switch will work as long as when your press it, the two terminals are connected together.
