Second monitor not coming on

Hi all, 

 

My PC is occasionally not activating my second monitor when booting up. If I unplug and replug in the cable on the GPU is finds it but occasionally instead of been at 1440 resolution its right back at the lowest setting and I have to reset it.
 

primary monitor is a Asus  VG27BQ running at 144Hz, and second monitor is a iiyama E2783QSU-B1 set to 70Hz. GPU is Sapphire RX5700 XT Nitro SE. Windows is fully updated. Seems to more prevalent since the recent 2004 update.

 

Any ideas?

By any chance that monitor is connected by Display Port?

I remember seeing a very similar issue in forums before, I saw couple of people suggesting using certified cables but I cant confirm if that will fix your problems. Sadly I dont know of any other solution, someone else might suggest something else.
