Replacement thinkpad x1 carbon 2012 1st gen

does anyone have any idea where i could get a replacement screen for my old gen 1 x1 carbon for a decent price all the ones i found were like $100

The screens for all the laptops I've seen are between 100-120$, so it seems totally normal to me?

oh really? i think i paid like 400 for the laptop entirely so i was just a bit suprised but if thats a decent prise guess theres no other options

Well you could buy a dead x1 and take the display from that, but that could be very risky. Buying a brand new display would probably be the cheapest.

If you find it too expensive then you could list your current one as working but dead screen and upgrade to a new used one.

I'd honestly just replace the display, $100 is about what I'd expect.
