240GB SATA 3 SSD enough for OS?

I think i made a mistake by buying a 240gb ssd instead of a 1TB HD. Not delivered yet I just want to be able to install windows 10 pro, and witcher 3 wich is around 100gb? What is the size of windows in mid 2020? I appreciate you guys that know tell me

If you were planning on installing Windows onto the HDD then I'd say you made quite a fortunate mistake, as Windows on a mechanical hard drive in this day and age is literal pain.

240GB should be enough for Windows and a couple games (depending on how large they are), along with other apps you'll be installing.

Plenty, I just got a 256gb SSD in for a Win 10 boot drive and Warzone, I think theres 80-100 gigs left? Warzone is around 100gb?

Warzone alone is 100GB, the total package is 186GB (installed) at the moment.

But the launcher makes it easy to scan a copied folder elsewhere to migrate it.

It also runs without stuttering from a USB3.0 2.5" 120MB/s drive too

OP - Id use it for Windows + Shadowplay (200GB to play with) and Games on another drive.

Since you're only using a single drive, either option is a mistake. Your primary storage medium should be no less than 500gb (since you intend to install games), as now you will likely need to uninstall and reinstall games whenever you want to play them. Also, as you near your storage capacity on a SSD you will lose some performance, though it's not too noticeable.

As for the HDD, just no. Having an OS on a HDD in 2020 isn't practical and will make high-end rigs feel like dinosaurs. In my opinion, you should order the HDD for games/media and keep the SSD for your OS. If you could do it over, I'd suggest buying a SSD between 500gb-1tb, as they're not that expensive these days and give you far more storage freedom and performance.
