I want to up my desk setup now. I've been working on my 14 inch work laptop for all work related stuff, and been doing my personal stuff on my own pc. I have 2 work laptops. I want to up my desk setup with a new and larger desk, I know which desk I will buy, a keyboard and mouse I already have, and a new monitor. I have to use my 2 work laptops provided by my employer at the same time side by side, so I want a monitor that can support doing display from 2 input sources at once. I already have an office chair that I'm pretty comfortable in. Also, I have my personal pc, so I want a monitor on which I can display 2 different laptops at once for work, and quickly switch to my pc when work is over. What do you recommend for me? Also, if I plug in my mouse and keyboard to the usb port on the monitor, will I be able to use the same mouse and keyboard across all my 3 laptops/pc? Thanks. Sorry if this isn't posted in the right section

I dont know any specific models, but look for an ultrawide that supports pbp mode (picture by picture mode)

You will need to use a kvm switch or a software like synergy. But I dont know how those work with multiple devices at the same exact time (synergy might support it)

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Synergy would allow for one keyboard+mouse to be used across multiple devices, I do so with 3-4 PC's at a time.

You could vesa mount the monitor and have two extended side arms so one laptop is on each side. I have done so with my setup, just using 1 laptop stand, my desk build log is linked HERE if you want to check it out.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. Didn't really know where to post it.

So here is my current setup, my hp laptop, and my logitech keyboard and mouse. I love it

Here is the problem, very very often, I need to fill out forms on paper, or write something

on paper, my job requires it, very very often, I need to do something on paper at my desk

so my work is kind of split between using a computer and doing stuff on paper. Here is the

problem. I need desk space for my paperwork, but my keyboard pretty much takes up

the space i use for paperwork. So how can I setup my desk that I can easily stow away

my keyboard for when i need to do paperwork, and easily take it back out for when I need

to do computer work? I know about keyboard trays, but my desk doesn't have enough

clearance from my chair for me to do a keyboard tray. The mouse is fine in terms of space

@emosun I like it, but isn't that kind of uncomfortable and bad posture?

I think I will just stop using the external keyboard and just use the laptop's keyboard

okay I could try that. I like your idea

but my keyboard is very wide

I have a logitech mk270 very wide

I like your idea of stowing the keyboard

under the laptop with a riser

I could probably try it
