Need advice comparing/buying a new laptop

I'm swapping studies, but I'm not 100% sure if my current laptop is up to spec. I'm swapping to industrial engineering, and on the school website they recommend:

RAM: 8GB
CPU: i5 iwth 2+Ghz of speed

GPU: Nvidia Quadro P620 or equivalent
Windows 10

Current laptop:
RAM: 12GB ddr 4 (it had 2x4 GB, I swapped one of the 4GB modules out for a 8G one)
CPU: i5-8250U (base 1,6ghz, 3,4 boost)
GPU: MX 130

I've got no clue where to start. I think I want a laptop with either Those recommended specs, or something that's above it, but that depends on the price difference. An SSD as main drive and a 1TB HDD would be a plus, but the total storage needs to be atleast 256GB. Prefferably something that can be bought in the EU with ideal or paypal

Thanks a lot for the advice in advance :)

EDIT: I don't know all of the software I'd be using, but I know one of them is ''Stabicad''
