Powerful Laptop around $500-$700 USD?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Budget (including currency): $500-$700 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Windows 10, Youtube, web browsing with google chrome

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): n/a

Any recommendations for a fast laptop around the $500-$700 USD price range? I'm looking to end my journey as a desktop owner (part of a longer term minimalist plan).

Thank you,

A laptop for gaming under $700 won't net you much, desktops are better for that. I would recommend something like the Acer Nitro 5 tho.

@BlueScope819 so I can see your post

Unless you're just going for an APU laptop, it's more like $1000-1200 to get an intel 6 core + 1660ti / RTX 2060 laptop, can upgrade the RAM and SSDs yourself

HP has a 3 year 0% interest offering right now, 2 of the machines are in that price bracket and can spec up the GPU.

Think this is the one I was thinking of, probably want a 2060. Dunno if there's any Ryzen 8 core laptops with 2060s.
