Monitor issues

So i have a Sceptre monitor and it is amazing, its 1080p, 21:9 aspect ratio, refreshes at 200hz, but whenever I play video files from my pc they always are shown in almost triple the brightness. And on my second monitor it doesn't do this. Plz help, I want to watch my files on my beyter monitor and not my dell.
