Ryzen 5 3600 Bottleneck

I have 2 pcs that i use and 1 has a 3600 and a 1660 super but my other one runs a 3600 and a 260 super. I feel like im being bottle necked by my CPU I play fortnite a lot and i was only getting 110 fps on all epic on both pcs. Is my CPU a bottleneck for Fortnite?

Thats showing your CPU temp in the graph at the bottom.. so your at 74c CPU temp in that pic (not normal). 54c on the GPU (which is normal).

74c idle means your going to be thermal throttling at load... What CPU cooler do you have? Thermal paste? What CPU temps do you hit under load?

This isn't a GPU issue. The graph you have enabled in MSI afterburner is for CPU temp. Your GPU temp ramped up to 79c (which is fine) under load, but look at your CPU temp graph, max of 90 and its not even doing much.

Use something like Asus realbench to stress test CPU, and use coretemp or hwinfo64 to monitor CPU temps.

Yea, thats way to hot for being at idle. Any actual CPU is going to bring you to thermal throttling... Your GPU temps are fine, I doubt this is a GPU issue. Lets work on the CPU temps first as that is clearly an issue, then we will go from there.

With the stock cooler, is it mounted correctly? Those high idle temps indicate it could be a bad mount. I have not used an AMD heatsink before, did it come with thermal paste pre-applied (I assume it did). Did the paste get wiped off? It seems like a bad mount to me though.

The GPU's don't factor into coretemp at all... coretemp doesn't care what GPU you have. It will just report out the CPU temp which is what we want to know right now.

Your CPU should not be at 74c at idle... something is very wrong. Is the fan on the CPU heatsink spinning? Is it mounted correctly and actually sitting totally flat?

You can't really tell if its mounted correctly from a picture. If all 4 mount points are not properly screwed down, or if the heatsink can wobble at all............... can't tell from a picutre.

That is 100% your problem. Thats WAY too hot, and max of 99c means its hitting thermal throttle. Run something like asus realbench (i linked it above) and use hwinfo64 to monitor all the core's temps. I guarantee itll hit thermal throttle and bring those clocks down to possibly low 3 ghz range which WILL "bottleneck" your GPU.

Your CPU is running way, way to hot, and we have to get that fixed.

As an example I run a R5 3600 and my normal idle temps are 35-40C.  Even when I was using the stock cooler, I never got temps that high.

You really should remount the stock CPU cooler.  Something is not right with the installation of the CPU cooler.   Cou you take a picture with the glass side panel removed and from an angle where we can see how it is actually installed?  The top down view doesn't help very much.

Here is a screenshot of my Ryzen 5 3600 at idle (only Discord and web browsers are running):
