I want to create myself a username. It's a username that's visible to everyone on this forum site, and other sites, so I don't want to use my real name. Any tips for coming up with a cool username? Any tips for making a good username? Any tips regarding usernames visible to everyone is well appreciated by me. How should I choose a good username? Thanks.

If you can't come up with one, generate one.

Mix and match them. If you see a part that please you, lock it in to generate more names around it. Google the name afterward to see if anyone else thought of it before or if there's zero result.

Then after a few months of using it, Google it again to see thousand of new results out of no where, from people(in China and Russia) suddenly deciding to copy your username, stealing it from you at every opportunity on various websites/services and creating some businesses using it. 🤬

Use a combination of commonly paired words.

Think "Eager Athlete" or "Brown Badger"

This way most web searches will go to something else.

What was wrong with youngboy? your current name doesn't exactly instill a sense of open-mindedness. Fanboy is generally a negative connotation.

I really don't think it is a good idea to use the same name across every site for security and privacy reasons.

I don't really use tons of sites where everyone sees my username

What does any of that even mean?

think of a nickname your friends have for you, a pop culture reference, or maybe a combination of the two

Try to come up with something that isn't just two words put together.

Names that are just two words put together feel generic, low effort, and disposable.

Try to avoid numbers, symbols or various series' of Xs.

Such things often look rather juvenile.

Try to make it something you wouldn't be embarrassed to have someone call you in front of your mom.

This will also help should that name ever have to be used in a contract or, heaven forbid, a criminal document.
