With my gtx 1660 , 8*2 GB Ram 3200 mhz which one will be better ?

Both has the same price.

Purpose: Gaming

the majority of games will perform notably better on the 3300X, due to much improved single threaded performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - The venerated Hyper 212 Evo (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

How many watts do I need? Seasonic Focus threadUserbenchmark (Et al.) is trash explained, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I'd get the 3300x, because it performs better in single threaded performance, so yeah, 3300x is the one you should get over r5 3600.

In terms of a motherboard, here is what I recommend: Asrock B450 Pro4 motherboard. What is your budget for the motherboard?

I'm open to other suggestions as per the motherboard. Here is another good motherboard: Asus TUF B450M Pro motherboard.

ASRock B450 Pro4 + 3300X should do fine also you can upgrade to a 3700x later! :D

If you want a 4000 series chip later you kinda gotta buy a 500 series board... 😛

I agree wtih @TofuHaroto get the 3300x. You won't regret it you will love the chip. Just get the 3300x over 3600 or 2600. 3300x

Good question. The 3300x will work fine with your a320 board with a bios update.

It's Gigabyte a320 hd2 ! Don't think it would be wise to pair it with 3300x !

Its not guaranteed, AMD gave the board partners the code they "need" to do this, lets face it ASUS was against the whole thing while MSI was for updating the 400 series boards! The others? We will have to see, if they have not promoted it like MSI have its no guarantee... :(

You could just update the bios on b450 boards. I agree with @TofuHaroto

Probably his best option. Like we said, Asrock B450 Steel Legend is probably the best board from what's available to him

I'm pretty sure if the boards manufacturers can do it.

They will, because they won't face the backlash of not supporting zen 3.

It's Gigabyte a320 hd2 ! Don't think it would be wise to pair it with 3300x !

There is not much of a difference in power usage between 1200 and 3300x so vrm:s should handle it just fine. Id rather buy a 3600 for that a320 board than upgrade to b450 and 3300x.

I dont see a problem swapping from 65W part to another 65W part. Just avoid overclocking unless you get lucky and get a cpu that runs all-core 4.2GHz with 1.15 - 1.2V

Most if not All b450 boards will support zen 3 with a beta bios.

Not guaranteed. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic on this one, but until these beta BIOS updates materialize, I'd assume you aren't going to be able to use Zen 3 and work off that. The beta BIOS update is 100% up to the individual board manufacturers, and there is absolutely no ROI for them. It would be purely a good will measure to their customers. Maybe some or even all will, but it's still a dice roll at this stage. If you want assured Zen 3 support for a build today go 500 series.

I have  both 3 3300x and 5 3600 ..

Gaming performance is the same .. Same FPS in games .. same load times ect.

3300x is a beast .. Havent tried a 2600  but i guess that  3300x will be a lot better for gaming
