Cpu upgrade

Currently running an i5-6600k@4Ghz and a gtx 1660ti. Im finding in more cpu intensive games such as overwatch, fortnite, warzone etc. im struggling to maintain 144fps and getting frame stuttering as my gpu is running at about 60-70% load with a 90-100% on the cpu. I play pretty much every game at lowest settings to max out my fps as I care more about a smooth experience.
Looking for any reccomendations for a cpu upgrade that would be worth it in terms of future performance over the next 2-3 years as well.

Wait for zen 3 ( Q3/Q4 of this year.)

For now I would say the 6600k should do the job

If u want to upgrade right now,
you have 2 options :
3600 or 10600k, if gaming is the major focus, i would strongly recommend 10600k since an overclocked 10600k outperforms or is at par with a stock 10900k IN GAMES

Getting a good board that can handle that would cost more than just getting a 3600 and a new board.
