How to calculate FAN wattage?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

0.11A * 12V = 1.32W per fan, so no need to worry about overloading any leads/channels really.

Hi, I have a set of 5 Arctic F14 PWM PST Fans and I would like to know the wattage of the fans. Reason being is that I have an NZXT Sentry 3 on the way and it notes that it can carry 15W per channel and there are 5 channels. What's the math calculation for for Fan power consumption in Watts?

Fans specs are as below:
  • Typical Voltage: 12V DC
  • Current: 0.11A
  • Start-up Voltage: 6.0V DC (@ 100% PWM)

Would it be safe to daisy chain two fans off one channel header?

Thanks!

Usually its the amperage thats important, not wattage.
