yeah and that's why i linked the websites for the graphics design softwares the OP is running on this workstation machine...for each of them i found you either the recommendation for graphics solution selection and support and stuff...these aren't benchmarks or anythying...they just show that nvidia has the foot way deep in EVERY single one of them applications.

and that won't mean i would recommend he buy super high end stuff either...

i wouldn't buy a 2080ti for this...a 2060Super for example is way perfecto

6c/12 thread CPU like ryzen 5 or some newer core i5 would do great as well for CPU.

32gb RAM...1tb NVME if possible...etc.

All depends of course. Some professionals do need the CUDA power! Or the CPU power for that matter

Well, looks like Nvidia is definitely better for CAD. As I said originally, I didn't know myself and only suggested the AMD option as I knew he didn't need Nvidias fancy gaming features. Anyway, thanks for all the helpful info and I'll make sure not to recommend a Radeon card for CAD in the future

Maybe downgrade the GPU to a 1660/Super/Ti if your workloads aren't that GPU bound, and go for more RAM.
