I thought all Intel ssd's were in house designed? Am I missing something?

510 used a marvell controller, 520/530 used sandforce controllers.

Meh i still prefer the 840 evo and the 840 pro.

Not to mention both the evo and the pro outperform the intel 730 at a much cheaper cost. Only benefit I can see here is that I've heard Intel's last longer? But I'm not sure.

I've never actually come across a need to use any of it.

 

EDIT: Ok, I went and got the Samsung software and I'm happy now, you would be correct sir xD
