Yikes, I hope nobody got hurt.

 

What caused it to break? Errant dog toy toss? Rolling chair mishap? Recreating your username?

2. Just RMA, each case lets you replace a side panel for free. If you break more of them, you'll have to pay.

I was taking it off to clear cmos and their is only one handhold in it so a corner hit the floor. No, nobody got hurt thanks for asking.

I’ve never seen just how bad the airflow looks on that case, I though the fans were farther behind those front side vents so that they could pull air in... wtf is that design NZXT?

Tempered glass is under constant strain, it's known to pop from time to time.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Oof that sucks. How did it break? You hit it?

 

This sort of things is why I'm more than happy with my plastic side panel. No chance of breaking it.

I mean it’s not harder than the glass, but it doesn’t have any rebound for the force so it’s all sent back into the glass.

The fans can be installed on the other side of that metal rail too, which gives some more distance.

Still not great with airflow

That's user error. The fans aernt supposed to go there, they're supposed to be on the inside, and by default are on the top and rear as exhaust.

A ceramic tile is almost always harder than glass. There are some exceptions, but a computer case side panel is not one of them.

So ceramic tile is a 5-6 on mohs scale where glass is a 6-7, I don’t think you’re thinking of hardness, but rather overall strength.

 

keep in mind mohs scale is a measurement of the textbook definition of hardness, not strength or resistance.
